LEESBURG, VA (September 27, 2016) – TMC Global Professional Services (TMC) is pleased to receive a single-award, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) prime contract with the Walter Reed Institute of Research (WRAIR). The ceiling value of this contract is $22.5M. TMC will provide scientific and technical support to WRAIR’s United States Medical Research Directorate – Georgia (USAMRD-G) unit in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia.
WRAIR seeks to further its biomedical research mission and support the United States’ international mission to build partnerships in global health and meet the Department of Defense’s (DoD) overseas medical research laboratory mission requirements. Under this contract, TMC will support WRAIR’s mission at the Lugar Center in Tbilisi, Georgia and in the Caucasus. TMC has been supporting similar missions in the Republic of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia for 10 years, starting in 2006. TMC also supports related U.S. lab projects in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Task orders under this contract entail surveillance and sample collection; basic and exploratory science; translational research; product research and development; and/or operational support to USAMRD-G in terms of logistics support, facilities service, safety, recruitment, retention, and training, as well as operational IT support at the Lugar Center and potentially in Azerbaijan.
